About: Prayer and Praise Ministries
It is the mission of this ministry to unite the body of Christ as Jesus prayed in John 17.
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: (John 17:21-22)
Our method of doing this task is found in Hebrews.
And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
We are told to not forsake the assembly of ourselves together. I believe it is more than the mere gathering together of ourselves, but the assembling of ourselves. For an example, lets say each person is a jigsaw piece. I can gather together the pieces into a pile, but that doesn’t create the picture of the image of Christ until the pieces are assembled together. We see this in Ephesians.
From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. (Ephesians 4:16)
Now the first part of Hebrews says to provoke each other to love and to good works. Paul wrote in Ephesians:
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, (Ephesians 4:1)
Paul is saying that I beg you to walk worthy of your calling. He is not making a simple suggestion here. He is beseeching. He is imploring. He is begging. This is as strong as he can make it. Paul wants you to walk worthy of your calling. What calling or vocation are we talking about?
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10)
We are called or created to do good works. Our vision is to unify the body by assembling them together into the work of the ministry for which they are called. The example that we plan to follow is the early church.
And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. (Acts 2:42)
These four areas will be the focus of this ministry. The first one listed is the apostle’s doctrine. This website offers many teaching articles, scriptual prayers, faith pills, and verse lists to help you grow as a strong christian.
The second item listed is fellowship. I really believe that this is a key focus of this ministry. Most everyone in the body of Christ is in need to fellowship, first to the Father and second to the rest of the body of Christ. I already mentioned the assembling of the pieces to build the whole body, but just hanging out with fellow believers talking about the Lord and whatever comes up is necessary for a mental well being. Plus during these times of fellowship, healing and deliverance takes place as members of the body minister to other members of the body. It is during these times where our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked: That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. (1 Corinthians 12:23-25)
Many in the body of Christ have been beaten up in battle and hurt, (emotionally, spiritually, and physically,) particularly the prayer warriors and intercessors. This website offers places where you can see other christian testimonies, place prayer requests, enter chat rooms with other believers. Join groups, and share in a time of fellowship. This fellowship time allows healing and restoration of the warriors in the army of God. This is also a time of true worship and praise like it reads in Psalms 149.
Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints. Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD. (Psalms 149:1-9)
The third item listed is the breaking of bread. As a website, this is a difficult one. My plan is to host and broadcast Believer Meetings of the Holy Spirit, you where can go or watch online. I currently don't have the funding, the locations, or the equipment in place at this time for such a venture, but I have held these types of meetings in the past while I was in California, and want to start them up again.
This has two meanings to me. The first is sharing a meal together. This is like our fellowships listed above. Lets more focus on the second – the breaking of bread as in communion. There is a communion with God with the taking of the elements, and there is a communion with each other in the body of Christ where we, the body, are broken and given to others; and the taking of the wine, the refreshing refilling of the Holy Spirit in our lives as we allow him to temper the body together.
The fourth item listed is prayer. My desire is to have this website running 24-hour as a house of prayer, where you can intercede for others in the body of Christ throughout the world.
Right now this is a one man operation. But I want your help in making
this site a true blessing for the Body of Christ. If you have any teaching
articles, scriptual prayers, faith pills, verse lists, products of spiritual
growth or edification, and you are willing to share them, please send them
to me. I can be reached at:
